The family friendly walk begins and ends at Damon Kvols Park on Route 66 and 5th street. This event is organized by Quay County Health Council and their Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL) Committee and co-hosted by the Quay County Extension Service. Everyone that finishes the course and turns in their wristband will get a free t-shirt and a commemorative sticker.
Registration for the event on September 26th begins at 7:15 a.m. with wristband number assignments. Since the purpose of this event is to have families walk together for fun, there is not a charge to participate. The registration is a quick form that lists your contact information and t-shirt size. One form can be filled out for the whole family. Everyone needs to be registered by 7:45 a.m. A brief orientation is provided before participants start the walk. All participants under 18 need their registration form signed by their parent or guardian so if you are sending your youth with someone else, please download the form, complete it and send it with them. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
