Join us Friday, March 18th from 3-4PM, to hear from Dr. Laura Parajon, NMDOH, on how New Mexico is using CDC metrics of COVID-19 cases and the% positivity rates to measure the presence and spread of COVID- 19.
The metrics were used to inform decisions on preventive measures. CDC has shifted to recommendations that aim to minimize severe illness and healthcare strain by using the COVID-19 Community Levels, which measure the impact of COVID in terms of hospitalizations and health system strain. This means that rapid ag test reporting is not as relevant since case counts and test positivity are no longer being used as the main metrics for our COVID response. Join us for more information and to get your questions answered!
Please email Gerilyn Antonio, gerilyn@nmhealthcouncils.org, before Thursday, March 17, 2022, if you have questions that you would like me Dr. Parajon to answer. Thank you from the NMAHC Team!
