All health councils are invited to attend a special meeting to help NMAHC plan its advocacy strategy for the 2023 legislative session. Register here.

We want legislative support for health council and NMAHC funding at sufficient levels so they can carry out the functions outlined in HB137. Funding Health Councils and NMAHC was one of the top recommendations from the HM2 Task Force to Improve NM's Public Health Infrastructure.

The purpose of this meeting is to:

• Assess current relationships with legislators

• Identify advocacy activities planned by health councils and NMAHC over the next 6 months and how to support those activities

• Develop key talking points
