Across New Mexico, 60+ rural libraries are frontline health hubs that help meet unmet needs in real time. With limited access to hospitals, clinics, and wellness services, these community institutions are stepping up–offering programs and services that support physical, mental, and social health. Libraries function as free and accessible community centers, which positions them as logical facilitators for initiatives to improve public health.
