Dr. Hosai Ehsan is the founder and president of Grand Summit Recovery and Workforce Development, New Mexico’s largest behavioral health agency. As an executive and community leader she is dedicated to advancing innovative solutions in substance use disorder, mental health and workforce development. Her work focuses on ending the generational cycle of poverty and substance use disorder. Dr. Hosai has developed an integrated model that combines clinical care, peer support, comprehensive healthcare services, education, and employment pathways to help individuals achieve lasting recovery and long-term self-sufficiency.
Dr. Hosai works closely with local government officials, community colleges, partner organizations, and healthcare systems to expand this innovative model throughout the State of New Mexico and beyond. Her collaborative approach brings together public and private partners to strengthen behavioral health services, increase access to care, and create sustainable opportunities for individuals and families affected by substance use disorder and mental health challenges.
Prior to her current leadership role, Dr. Hosai served as the Chief Clinical Director for her medical school, where she provided clinical leadership and helped shape healthcare education and training. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she also served as the COVID-19 Response and Risk Mitigation Director for major Hollywood productions, leading comprehensive health and safety operations for large-scale film productions during an unprecedented public health crisis.
Dr. Hosai is looking forward to working with New Mexico Alliance of Health Councils to improve community health outcomes and create lasting social impact, stronger workforces, and sustainable systems of recovery across New Mexico and beyond.
